Jessamyn Stewart
I am a Registered Social Worker and counsellor, living, working and playing on the unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ Peoples, otherwise known as Victoria. I offer individual and couples counselling in person and online throughout British Columbia, and online only in Ontario.
The world today is loud with self-help and therapeutic insights, but nothing is more valuable than your own inner guidance and truth. Let me help you access that voice by tackling the things that get in the way of you hearing yourself. It's important that you find a therapist that works for you, so take your time here to see if it feels like a good fit and reach out if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you!
Evidence-Based & Person-Centered
I draw from evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT and ACT. I always work collaboratively with my clients to ensure we get the most out of our time together.
Parts Work
Getting to know the different parts that make up who you are and how those parts relate to each other can bring greater insight and multiplicity to our inner world.
Humanistic & Existential
Drawing on deeper themes, we might explore our experiences, meaning-making and journey towards self-actualization through multiple lenses. Symbols, dreams and metaphors are welcome here.
Attachment Therapy
Exploring how early childhood experiences shaped our understanding of life and love brings greater self-discovery. With this knowledge, we can seek to know ourselves and others with more clarity.
